About the Program

Mission
Solutions Academy proposes a safe, culturally responsive, multilingual-friendly TK–12 public charter school that combines flexible independent study with rigorous STEM and Gifted and Talented learning, helping students become confident, self-directed learners prepared to solve real-world problems.

Vision
Students take ownership of their learning through personalization, individual pacing, critical thinking, project-based instruction, and close teacher guidance, with whole-student wellness (social-emotional learning, physical fitness, and mental wellness) built in alongside strong academics.
How it would work:
-
Hybrid independent study. Live online instruction, independent assignments, an individualized learning plan for each student, and a supervising credentialed teacher who reviews work and monitors progress.
-
In-person learning days at a Learning and Resource Center for science labs, maker and engineering projects, enrichment, and state testing.
-
STEM with GATE. Standards-aligned science, technology, engineering, and math, with advanced pathways for gifted and high-potential learners.
-
Language-aware STEM. Content-based support so English learners can access rigorous STEM.
-
Support for every learner. A Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), special education services provided according to each student's IEP, and Section 504 support.
-
Families as partners. Weekly teacher contact, monthly conferences, and quarterly progress reports.
Planned size: about 200 students in the first year, growing to about 220.
Location: One Learning and Resource Center is planned in central Orange County (Santa Ana, Anaheim, or Garden Grove area). The site has not yet been selected.
