Is Solutions Academy open?

Not yet. The charter petition is under review by the Orange County Board of Education. If approved, the school plans to open in fall 2027.

Will there be tuition?

No. Charter schools are free public schools.

Who can attend?

If approved, any student who wishes to attend, with priority to Orange County residents as described in the charter. Admission will not be based on grades, test scores, disability, language, or any other protected characteristic.

Is this homeschooling?

It is public independent study. Each student works under a written agreement and an individualized learning plan, supervised by a credentialed teacher, with required in-person learning days.

What about students with IEPs or 504 plans?

Solutions Academy will provide special education and related services according to each student's IEP, and Section 504 accommodations, regardless of the independent-study format.

Where will in-person days take place?

At a Learning and Resource Center in central Orange County. The site will be announced once secured.

Is the school accredited? Solutions Academy intends to pursue accreditation after opening. It is not accredited at this time.
